giant orange melons

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time today looking at pumpkin carving patterns and photos online, trying to decide what I'm going to do with my pumpkin. Last year I did a blurry alien. This year I'm trying to come up with something a little more interesting. At the moment, my uncarved pumpkin is sitting on the park bench in my front yard with a child-size posable skeleton next to it.

This Extreme Pumpkins site has some awesome ideas, although a few of them are a little too graphic for suburbia.

My favorites are the territorial pumpkin:

and cannibal pumpkin:

So what sick and depraved thing are you going to carve?

Most certainly cannibal pumpkin, most certainly.
I don't believe in carving pumpkins. I am sure that somewhere there is a sweat shop full of underpaid and overworked underage immigrants chained to their benches carving dozens of pumpkins an hour. So I will support the free market economy- lay down my pumpkin carving knife, pick up my wallet and but a nicely carved pumpkin with Asian accents from little Phu Tut the cripple, eyeless seven year old who serves as front man for the sweat shop.
